Early Life:
Bill Gates was born William Henry Gates the III.
He was born on October 28 1955, in Seattle, Washington, were
he grew up with his two sisters, mother and father.
His father was a lawyer and his mother was a school teacher.

Education:
Gates went to public school for his first few years of school, but soon
transferred to Lakeside a private school in Seattle Washington. There
Gates found his passion for programming. During his time
at Lakeside, he was found to be brilliant in Maths and Sciences,
as well as English. Lakeside was grades 5-12. After he finished
at Lakeside, Gates went on to Harvard University, where he studied law.
While at Harvard he met Steve Balmer, who became Microsoft's chief executive
officer. His future in law did not last long as he dropped out in his junior year to
pursue Microsoft.

Microsoft:
Gates and a childhood friend Paul Allen founded Microsoft in
1975, but 1979 was when the most happened in the company.
They moved their office from New Mexico to Washington, they were
the first to win the ICP million dollar award for their microprocessor, their
market broadened to Europe, and they changed the company name from
Micro-soft to Microsoft.

Achievements:
Bill Gates biggest achievement was Microsoft, but he also has
won many awards, such as the National Medal of Technology and
Innovation, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Distinguished
Fellow of the British Computer Society. In 1999 Gates wrote a non-fiction
book called 'Business @ The Speed of Thought' where talks about how
technology can help run businesses in today's society.

Computer Background:
Computers came out at the time Gates was 13,
he made a comment in an interview saying
"I and a few others were the 'computer experts'
and [the teachers] were nice enough to let
us do the scheduling for classes" (video below)
Gates was programming by 13 and he was developing his
own programs by the time he was in University, and started
Microsoft by the time he was only 20 years old. Gates went
from hacking into programs at school, to deciding what girls
he had in which classes, to being one of the richest men on the Earth
with a 85.3 billion dollar net worth.
